Alfalfa

Alfalfa is considered the main forage crop for dairy cows feeding. Thanks to its high yield in forage, the high protein content, the good seasonal distribution and the interesting quality of its fiber, alfalfa is indicated for milk production in the high-quality cheese market. Thanks to its multi-annual persistence and the low input request, it can be considered one of the most environmentally sustainable crop.
